Bluetooth Headphones advice wanted

Looking to give a holiday gift of Bluetooth headphones in the under $100 range.

I would appreciate any input from you on desireable models and undesireable models, and, of course, sales.

These would be for listening only, no microphone needed.

The first step is to decide if you want:
-In the ear (buds)
-On the ear
-Over the ear.
Each has its plusses and minuses.

Its really personal. I found I need over the ear to be comfortable. I like the sony models but wirecutter reviews have never let me down.

Love wirecutter, but for wired headphones.... not so much. They recommend iOS/Android neutral phones, but I'm not interested in headphones without volume controls. I've posted they should just do separate iOS and Android reviews.
