Michael Wolff To Bill Maher: ‘Fire And Fury’ Has “Incendiary” Unsolved Secret

......Could there possibly be anything left unsaid or unreported about Michael Wolff’s Fire and Fury? Yes, says the author, and it’s “incendiary.”

On that, Wolff and his critics are likely to agree.

Wolff, a guest on tonight’s Real Time with Bill Maher, told the HBO host that one revelation remains undiscovered in his much-raked-over book about Donald Trump’s first year in the Oval Office, and it’s a juicy one.

And, no, he wasn’t talking about Interracial Baby Races, contrary to last week’s Saturday Night Live.

The writer declined to specify what, exactly, that hidden nugget is, but conceded that it involves a woman, is ongoing, and that he didn’t spell it out because he didn’t “have the ultimate proof – I didn’t have the blue dress.”

If the Bill Clinton-Monica Lewinsky reference wasn’t clear enough, Wolff responded “it is” when Maher pressed, “Somebody he’s f*cking now?”

Wolff said the woman’s identity could be determined by “reading between the lines” in a section toward the end of the book.

“Now that I’ve told you,” Wolff said, “when you hit that paragraph you’re going to say ‘Bingo.’ “

Wolff’s tease will no doubt infuriate critics who accuse the writer of playing fast and loose with facts and allegations, but you can already hear the sound of pages flipping as Beltway pundits reach for their bookshelves.

The rest of Maher’s Wolff interview stuck close to the author’s other thousand or so media appearances, with Wolff explaining his easy access to the White House (Trump, he said, is surrounded by the “most disloyal loyal people that ever existed.”)

As for the cognitive test that Trump received – and passed – during his recent physical, both Wolff and Maher weren’t impressed. The 30 simple questions – “Who is the President of the United States” is one – can be found and studied on the internet, Wolff said.

Or, as Maher put it, “It’s the kind of test they give the old lady wandering down the middle of the highway in her underpants.”.......

it really would not surprise me........?!

Clinton didn't get in trouble for having an affair, he got in trouble for lying about it under oath. Since Trump never tells the truth about anything. If he ever does go under oath, an affair is the least of his legal worries.

As for his base, they won't care unless it is a seven-year-old illegal immigrant boy that he flies in daily on Air Force One. Even then, many will excuse as an effective foreign affair.

1. His base already has so much dirt on him that it appears to them to be a coat of armor instead. They can’t tell the difference.

2. Reading between lines? Wolff thinks that’s a salient ability of any core Republican?

I fail to see how his book does anything to move the political peg. It’s mainly something that seething liberals can lock into for their daily “I feel outraged” fix.

Boring.

Trump has all but beat the game. The level of transgression has been set so high before consideration of any real consequences has hope of gaining traction it’s gotten hard to see it really happening.

Trump. Fool, madman or Machiavelli? What’s the Holmes quote? “...when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth?”.
