I can get a better price from at&t at this time getting Internet, Directv and phone but is their Internet service close at all?
Internet service comparison - which is better at&t or Spectrum?

Depends. If it's AT&T Fiber, it would be superior. If it's U-Verse, it might be comparable (or at least, good enough, maybe), but I'd still go Spectrum. If it's DSL, then Spectrum for sure.

If your Spectrum is like mine, there is no time commitment. That is worth a slightly higher price just to avoid Directv's two year minimum

Spectrum better where I am.

Att is better here, but it’s fiber optic.

I have no experience with spectrum.
Ive mentioned it a few times, but zero problems with our ATT Uverse, goning on 10 years or so. Maybe down 3 times? Thats a guess. I cant remember any in recent memory. Im on the 55/15 plan -- with 4 iMacs, 3 iPads, 4 iPhones. 2 Amazon fires and a roku. All good. Streaming never stutters. Never lag. Its always 55/15 -- not shared like cable. Really dig the DTV wireless boxes. TV can be anywhere. Box is small, like the size of a paperback book. If I want TV outside or in the garage, just move the box. Silly simple. I was fine with the 2 year deal, then I didnt have to think about it. Mostly bummed that I cant have the deal forever. about $100 total for TV and net. Thats plenyy.

Been on AT&T wireless for years now. Two outages, one on a New Years Day. They had a tech fix it that day, on a holiday, even replaced the line from the pole to the house because "it's gettin' kinda old".
Cable Internet will generally be faster at the same price, but I can't comment on reliability. AT&T will usually get you HBO included, which means HBO Now for a Netflix like experience. jdc wrote: Have you threatened to cancel. You will usually get a retention specialist to hook you up. Since Spectrum has no time contract, you could sign up, cancel and be a "new" AT&T customer!

Yeah, not there yet... another 5 months left on my deal.

....in terms of reputation Spectrum is on par or worse than TWC......

My cable has gone from TWC to Brighthouse to Spectrum (Charter). Very rarely have issues with them. Maybe once every couple of years. Most recent was after Hurricane Irma last year... we lost internet for about 5 days. Time before that was maybe 5 years ago when I was getting intermittent signal. They fixed that within a couple of days.
