I work with addicts and most of the vapers are people who smoked anyway—still smoke in between vaping sometimes. Vapors can vary the amount of nicotine in their vapes but i don't know many who talk about that. Mostly they talk about the different flavors they get and share their vapor devices indiscriminately. They also suck a lot of vape into their lungs, more volume than cigarette smoke it seems.
I have to be outside with these guys when they are smoking and I find the vape smell as obnoxious as cigarette smoke.

Better than smoking? Sure.... for the bystanders. Better for the person vaping? Well, probably.... but that remains to be seen.

This. There is absolutely no oversight as to what crap is being put in the juice.

IMO, vapers tend to be even less considerate than smokers. They believe that because its not a cigarette, they can do it anywhere. Who knows what the secondhand effects are. My youngest gets headaches when he's around it.

Nicotine is poison, whether it comes from cigarettes, cigars, pipes, patches, gum, or vaping. It is a major contributor to heart attacks, strokes, and peripheral arterial disease. Sure, inhaled tobacco products have risks also of emphysema and chronic bronchitis from tar, but pure nicotine all by itself is still poison.

I'm in favor... but ONLY for people who are already cigarette smokers/addicted to nicotine. Vaping doesn't stink nearly as bad as cigarettes and make the user, plus bystanders, cars, homes and everything else smell like a god damn ashtray. You can also use different concentrations of nicotine.

But for anyone who isn't already addicted, vaping is downright stupid. There are still plenty of harmful chemicals being inhaled by vape users. And even if there weren't, you can't convince me it isn't a totally stupid thing for a non-addicted person to do.
