San Fran celebrates after a touchdown....in the FIRSt HALF..
and then KC eliminates their running game in the second half and finds all the slots underneath the uncharacteristically lazy San Fran pass defense...

pathetic hot dogging..

I was told that's the defense celebrating an interception. I mean, which is great and it was an exciting moment. At that time, it looked like SF had KC's number. But it wasn't a game-sealing interception or a pick 6. I would have selected something more subdued from the repertoire, but I'm a pessimist.

49ers goofed the last 2 minutes of the first half. By not calling time outs and then having no sense of urgency, they left possible points on the table. You could see GM Lynch signaling from the suites to call time out to no avail. Had the 49ers put 3 or 7 on the board, it could have helped them at the end of the game.

Just a guess, but how many of the pro player & coach spectators had the same thought as me;
What the hell is Shanahan doing? iirc, Troy Aikman said something similar live
while calling the game.

It is common for end zone celebrations after an interception. Players are allowed to celebrate now as long as it is not in the opponent’s face. Since defensive players don’t frequently score, they don’t have the opportunity to celebrate. They have remedied this by celebrating recovered fumbles and celebrations to they have fun too, not just the offense.

I can only assume SF thought they had the game in hand and had “solved” the KC offense. Andy Reid had the right idea, going twice on 4th down because you don’t know when your team will be in the SB again.

Not the first time people have asked,”What the Hell is Shanahan doing?” Ask any Falcons fan.

The Falcons blew it when he was running the offense because they left too much time on the clock after scoring against the Pats. With two minutes left against KC, he decided to go opposite and not be aggressive enough.
