Baby Buzz invented untuckit shirts long before the company was founded... he took a bunch of my old shirts from the 70's and 80's (mostly Ralph Lauren button downs), and had our seamstress whiz nanny shorten and reshape the tails so that he could wear them untucked. Several years later the company ripped him off, and has made a pretty good go of it. Even without the untuckit royalties that he certainly deserves, I'm pretty sure Baby Buzz still made his first $1M at an earlier age than those New Yawkers that ripped him off.

We took Baby Buzz back east a few times in the mid 00's, strutting the real, original untuckit shirts around NY, CT, MA, etc., well before the Columbia students supposedly "thought" up the idea. Did Baby Buzz shamelessly showing off his wares spawn a new fashion statement? Pretty sure he, and it, did. The kid still wears his original untuckits, along with several more that our nanny has fashioned for him over the years, and I still have a couple of dozen old shirts that can be re-tailored for his untucked use in the ensuing years.

What successful ideas have others ripped off, and capitalized on from y'all?
