How a thread about why someone would/could or should change political affiliation became a thread about transgender issues us a wonderment in itself.

How anyone thinks that the transgender bathroom issue matters one little bit befuddles the hell out of me.

The poster may believe there is a connection between sexual identity and pedophilia, that gays are per se pedophile while straights are not. It's an ignorant perception a perception so real it borders on belief, one that many people hold.

Beliefs aren't subject to debate or analysis - they just are what they are.

Beliefs should ALWAYS be subjected to question and challenge!

Sometimes!

The rest areas in VA, NC, and SC have what I posted "Family Restrooms"
My son has severe Epilepsy and is always accompanied by one of us everywhere.
Now we can all go together.

So now we need a poll. For the ladies, and those identifying as, do you go to the bathroom in pairs?

I have a more relevant poll question:

For the ladies, and those identifying as, have you ever felt threatened by the presence of a trans woman in a single-gender shared restroom?

This should probably rank below 300 as for things to worry about.

I have a more relevant poll question:

For the ladies, and those identifying as, have you ever felt threatened by the presence of a trans woman in a single-gender shared restroom? To my knowledge, and I repeat to my knowledge, I haven't had this experience. But I've been around trans women off and on for most of my adult life and feel the sympatico female thing and not like they are men, so I don't see how that would bother me.

What I would worry about IF I decided to lose my mind and worry about bathrooms, is having human beings who identify as male being forced to pee in the ladies room. And it's humorous to imagine a cis guy who is scared of trans people wanting to have women peeing with them.

So if we are going to do this birth-gender qualification for toilets, we might as well make them all unisex because it's just going to be a huge muddle.

PS: That peeing in pairs thing is so 1960s. Who does that?
