Gapless playback on my nano
#1
Does it work with the nano?

I am trying to update my music collection and I am not getting gapless playback on discs that should.

For example: AC/DC - if you want blood. Live album. When I uploaded it to Itunes, I got the determining GP scan and I assumed everything was going to be good but it still has the gap during playback.

What is going on and how can i fix it?

BTW I have the older Nano.

I just read from apples website that the new nano supports GP. Does that mean the older one does not? I would think that it was a software issue not a hardware flaw.

Gapless solutions

* Optimal solutions:
o iTunes 7.0 and later versions support gapless playback on Macintosh and Windows without having to combine tracks during encoding (a limitation of previous releases).
o 2nd generation iPod nano and all video-capable iPods running the latest firmware support gapless playback.

You happy now Big Grin
Actually its a iPod nano issue. Because it works on both platforms.

How can it be a hardware issue?

I am happy that you answered but sad because I listen to a lot of live music and my nano now officially sucks.

Looks like I am in the market for a new one.
