At the very least, don't use the stickers and sign that come with the system. It seems that a $2 low power transmitter from Amazon or a handheld Ham radio can overpower the system and prevent an alarm condition.

when i had a Simplisafe system at my late brother's house i didn't use the stickers and actually deliberately left up the sign from the old alarm company.

my neighbors had ADT, then let the sign when they moved so I put it in front of my place. No service, just the sign.

No idea if it worked - we were never robbed when it was there but then we have never been robbed before or since it was there either.
