I just spent about 20 mins opening a bottle of wine! Why?

No one ever accused Crane Lake of being a "Very Fine Wine". Wink
The local 'packie' sells it 3 for $12.

Label varieties I have seen are: Merlot, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, Petite Sirah.
We often get the first three, and are rarely disappointed.

Tried the Sirah on Tuesday; it was, um, wet and otherwise not very good.
Ended up making sangria with it. That was much better.

YMMV

At one point, I probably tried that method, too (see photo above).

For $3 on sale, the Crane Lake -it was the Sauv Blanc (not Chard) was great for cooking, and even reasonably passed the swig test (see photo above).
