I am sick of inkjet printers. I am getting a LASER printer. Questions about toner and drum

IMHO, the very best deals are used HP2200N or HP2200TN with low number of pages printed. Ethernetworkable, generic cartridges are available, duplexing, you can add extra trays, etc. I print maybe 500-1000 pages per month on mine, and I've never had any trouble with this printer. If you can get one locally on Craigslist, that saves shipping.

And the latest HP series was on sale 50% about a month or so ago. Might still be available in some places.

These puppies are rated at at least 5000 pages per month, so anything under 50K pages printed is very usable. Lower is better, of course. Here's a quick ebay scan:

[quote Silencio]Hmm, that Phaser 6110MFP looks pretty nice. Guess it's based on Xerox' low-end color laser engine, which did a pretty respectable job. Wonder how the Mac drivers are for scanning and/or faxing.
In the words of Scotty, "I'll let you know."

Some of the Amazon reviews for the 7820N mention that it's a power hog (lights flickering, etc.).

Can anybody confirm this here?

Thanks.
