Word is is that there are currently 230 House votes (ie more than enough, and more than just Democrats) for impeachment.

According to Nancy Pelosi's daughter Christine, they would have needed 100% unanimous agreement to convene prior to Monday, which thanks to the more recalcitrant morons would not have been possible.

And since the Senate won't be back in session until the 19th, it's rather a moot point. I think the preference is for Trump to get 25A'd or resign instead.
