I took the subject line as ironic, as in many idiots might now criticize the musician. He’d have his “choice” among receiving criticism. Whatever.

The thing is, it's not about whether the audience can accept gay people in country music. It's about whether the powers-that-be in country music believe that the audience can accept gay people in country music. And whether the power structure will allow gay people in.

Remember, plenty of Black people go to the movies. And yet we still have Oscars So White. It's about power and who decides who gets to wield it.
