LastPass changing its business model - impact starts next month
#1
'LastPass is clearly hoping the new restrictions are enough to encourage people to upgrade to its Premium or Families tiers. LastPass Premium starts at $3 a month, while a Families subscription costs $4 and includes licenses for up to six people. In an accompanying blog post, the company says it now has over 20 million users around the world, though it’s unclear how many of these use the service’s free tier.'

As good as Last Pass may or may not be, I've a hard time accepting a subscription model for a password manager.

It's really only a step removed from ransomeware.

I saw that notice. They still have a free service, but you can only use one type of device. Any and all computers OR any and all phones/tablets.

Not sure what I will do. "Upgrade" LastPass or move to 1Password. Pretty much the same price, so staying with what I know is the default choice.

Using a password manager that covers all your devices is awfully convenient.
