Florida apparently changed the way they report COVID deaths recently to make things better than they really are ...

So, because of the change, the leading edge will always look like the numbers are coming down. and whos going to pay attention to the previous days when the actual number of deaths are updated?

Yeah, they've been messing with reporting their death numbers for a few weeks now and I figured that out last week. So their numbers are only accurate as about 3 weeks in the past.

New death numbers for any given day are very low but when you look back at the peak, that number is still going up as the data is all backfilled.

For instance, last week their recent peak of deaths was on August 11th at 200/day (7 day average). Now it's 221/day on August 16th. And August 11th is now up to 207/day.

FL is doing the worst per capita of any reasonably large US state and everyone who is actually interested in the real data knows that. The rest of people sticking their heads in the sand doesn't change the fact that many Floridians are dying.
