Lawyer Representing 17 Jan. 6 Rioters Has Gone Missing: Covid?
#1
John Pierce, the right-wing lawyer representing 17 defendants accused of storming the Capitol, has failed to appear at several court appearances over the past week, sparking the Justice Department to issue a rare warning that Pierce’s sudden disappearance could jeopardize his clients’ cases.

The filling on Monday pointed to reports, as well as an explanation from Pierce’s colleague Ryan Marshall, indicating that Pierce, an outspoken anti-vaxxer, is seriously ill from COVID-19 and possibly unresponsive on a ventilator.

I wonder if those clients know they are just being used by this guy as fundraising vehicles. He runs some big right wing fundraising site. And now they may get nothing at all.

They all needed a lawyer. Instead they hired a culture warrior with a law degree focused on fundraising. So I'm guessing they'll just take whatever they get at this point.

I feel we've reached a point where, if the Greatest Generation could look forward in time and see what America has become, they would just let the Axis win WWII.

I suppose his disappearance could be a ruse to get out of legal jeopardy for his pending case.
