Don't know him, but an interesting challenger to John Kennedy, here in Louisiana

Just caught one of his campaign ads:

... he has virtually zero chance of winning here, but I have to say I was impressed with his ads and message. He definitely hits the right points about what's needed here.

John Kennedy, that name rings a bell - oh right he was the elected representative from my congressional district. As a youth I wasn't even aware of his existence then he went from that seat to the US Senate and later President. I only became aware of him as a high school student "shanghaied" to a presidential campaign rally at the old Boston Garden.

Don't think my Kennedy had much in common with your Kennedy.

Yes, he reminds me a bit of a Beto, but Louisiana- rather than Texas-style. I actually learned a few things from his ads that I didn't already know, for example Kennedy voting against disaster relief for our own state (?) https://www.theadvertiser.com/story/news...-autopilot ... what the heck is that ???

Also, I have to admit that his views from the F-18 were pretty darned cool.

Confederacy, a great posthumously published read.
