I recently took a trip back home to visit the parental units. They are getting "more experienced" in life and they don't travel well any more. The plane flight out was a disaster music wise. The AirPod 3rd gen did absolutely horrible on the plane. I know they are not noise cancelling, but thought the ear bud would do something.
Well, no. I had to crank them up loud to hear music, and by then the music gets distorted.
Whist visiting the parents, I decided to pick up some AirPod Pro 2nd gen ear buds. WOW! What a difference. They fit so nice! Very little to no ear fatigue (painful ears, which is usually what I get when wearing ear buds for more than 15 minutes). No fiddling to get them in just right. Just slip them in the ear and it's a go! Great noise cancelling and the sound is awesome. I am very pleased. The plane flight home was glorious.
I also dragged my mom kicking and screaming (for joy, actually) into the 21st century. I got her an iPad Air for christmas and helped to set it up while there. WOW! So light! So fast! The screen is fabulous! Well done, Apple.
I can't say that much about their computers these days. But those two pieces of tech really were a breath of fresh air in the morass of confusing software/hardware that works, but doesn't work.
