Apple Music question
#1
Does anyone know a way to increase the on-device buffer size for Apple Music? My morning commute goes in and out of cell service. Every once in a while I’ll run out of music before I reestablish a connection. My google-fu has been weak so far. I know I can add music on-device, but variety is the spice of life…or is that old bay?

I don't have a direct answer to your question but I experienced a problem with Apple Music that had effects similar to what you're seeing.

I am on the individual plan and at one point I noted that tracks would play for perhaps 20 seconds or so then stop for awhile then restart some short time later. It turned out that my wife was using Apple Music at the same time. It seems Apple Music was trying to tell me something…Family Plan (up to 6 simultaneous independent streams) here we come…

Anyway, these suggestions may provide workarounds (if not solutions) for your situation:

You can choose to download the playlist before your drive.

I don’t usually know what I want to listen to until the mood strikes me. I’m not organized enough to create playlists. I usually just ask Siri to play whatever it is I want to hear (while I have a connection).

Isn't it Settings, Music, Optimize Storage where you can increase the amount stored on your iPhone?
