Update on printer purchase
#1
After 3 weeks of testing 3 different AIOs (2 Brothers and 1 HP) we settled on the HP LaserJet Pro MFP 227fdw purchased from our local Office Depot. Since Monday it has been working good so far especially after spending 1 hour on the phone to HP tech support. Whatever happened to a simple driver software download and install and VOILA! printing, faxing, coping would work flawlessly over wifi? If anyone has any negative experience on this model please post it here. Tia!

Nice looking printer, but only a 1 year warranty?

What happened was the faxing, scanning, etc. over-wifi part. The complexity of that is a lot more than just printing to a hard wired printer. My hard wired HP M602 doesn't even need drivers or any configuration, they are included in both Mac and Windows by default. Open up system preferences, go to add a printer, the printer shows up and hit add. You can even airprint from an iPad or iPhone to it with zero setup.

Forrest,

A one year warranty has been the norm on home, home office and small business printers for decades. Maybe it might be longer on an enterprise level printer but not for a model in the class of the HP LaserJet Pro MFP 227fdw.
