Gareth,

Not expired. The TS3 Plus is considered one of the best Thunderbolt docks on the market. I'd be on this deal in a heartbeat if I didn't already invest in an OWC Thunderbolt Hub. Still tempted to grab it for one of my other machines. It's that good of a deal.

Ah, I didn't catch that there's a coupon involved. I usually shop through an Amazon Business account and not all coupons work on the business site. It shows up on a regular personal account.

only caveat is the display port side for multiple screens.

one screen uses display port, other uses the only Thunderbolt port = no thunderbolt expansion, say for a fast drive.

I just got a Dell dock from work, it has the Thunderbolt logo so maybe it also works with Mac. If not I may bite on this deal.

Only 1 10Gb/s USB port; seriously, 1 measly 10Gb/s port?
SD only UHS II, not UHS III (or Express) for future proofing.

It's a nice piece of kit for a couple of Benji's, but once I'm that far in, I'd rather add a little more, and get even better expandability.
Gimme another TB 3/4 port, + another => 4K video port, + have at least 3 USB C 10Gb/s ports.
At that point, I'd give up one of the five USB A ports, or two, in favor of a 4th, or more, speedy USB C port.

In which case, you probably want the TS4, but that's $400...

Buzz,

The TS3 Plus is an older model and it's a product of the time of its release. The TS3 Plus offered solid options in a very reliable design at the time of its release. It's still a very solid piece of equipment but it's obviously been eclipsed in features by the TS4 and newer competitors. Dollar for dollar, though, it's still a very good piece of equipment for $199.99, which is $100.00 off the normal price. Definitely wouldn't go near it at full price. At that point, there are many other more current options.

Gareth/Robt M-- Yeah, basically, I want to take that same $100 off the TS4, making me a buyer @ $300..... Cool

See if y'all can pull some strings for me (and other $300 buyers), maybe for BF?
