Yes. It also doesn't depend on Wifi. Putting home automation devices on Wifi isn't worth it, especially if you're going to automate most of your home.

I have an old Apple TV, yes, it is 4K but I think 2-3 generations old. Does it work with Matter?

If not WiFi, what is this, bluetooth? something else? radio waves? IR light? Gravitons? Flux capacitor?
