Which have already been paid in advance of the trial. https://www.irs.gov/payments/underpaymen...ls-penalty He's also accused of fraudulently filing tax documents, but only in upside-down world would the government will pursue this when it actually gets to a trial. It's very unusual that this charge has continued to be pressed. Some of his deductions were improper. Nobody gets jailed for this on a first-time offense. Any prosecutor who pushes this and any judge who allows this to get to final arguments will face ethical scrutiny for political influence.

He's not going to jail.
He's just spending a huge amount on lawyers. And then he'll pay the tax and penalties when he loses the trial. Or they'll do a plea deal that makes sense to the judge. His separate trial in Delaware regarding a gun purchase while using drugs will either get plead down or if he's convicted he'll get some sort of alternative sentence and probation.

Hunter has better connections than Willie Nelson, Wesley Snipes, Nicolas Cage, Darryl Strawberry, Martha Stewart..........................
President Biden's son is a drug addict and tax cheat President Trumps son negotiated the Abraham Accords

Mr645 wrote: That wasn't either of Trump's sons. His son in law was peripherally involved with it because he stood to make several million as a consultant off of the economic development fund. The Abraham Fund was a program established by the US Government that was supposed to raise $3 billion to boost trade and agriculture in the region, facilitate access to clean water and affordable electricity, and "enable strategic infrastructure projects". The fund was to be overseen by Adam Boehler, who led a newly-formed development finance agency and was a college roommate of Jared Kushner’s.[61] Its first projects were reported to be the upgrading of checkpoints between Israel and Palestinian territories and a gas pipeline to be built between the Red Sea and the Mediterranean. Despite numerous visits by Kushner and US secretary of the treasury Steven Mnuchin with rulers in the region in the last months of the Trump presidency, the fund never received any money, and no projects were ever begun... And what was the substance and consequence of the Abraham Accords? The New York Times wrote that "[r]ather than viewing it as a serious blueprint for peace, analysts called it a political document by a president in the middle of an impeachment trial working in tandem with Mr. Netanyahu, a prime minister under criminal indictment who is about to face his third election in a year"... The normalization agreements were critized by citizens of the four Arab states that signed the accords as well as many citizens of other Arab countries, especially because they failed to make progress resolving the Palestinian conflict. The criticism increased in May 2021 after violent protests erupted in Jerusalem, Hamas fired rockets into Israel, and Israel retaliated with airstrikes on Gaza. A Fatah Central Committee member said the Abraham Accords, were "one of the reasons" for the October 7, 2023, attack by Hamas on Israel.

Not to equate the two offenses by any means, but I'd be fine with Hunter serving time in jail if the orange menace does as well. In fact, they could share a cell as far as I'm concerned.

How about it we wait for the trial?
Just like we are for Mango Mussolini. Mr645 wrote:
