External Boot Drive on Mac Mini -- how do you use internal drive?
#1
For folks that use an external drive such as the miniStack as your boot drive to increase performance and space--what do you put on your internal drive? Is it space of last resort with just a backup boot partition? If actively used do you load apps or just use it for document files? Any strategies or experiences you would like to share would be appreciated.

use it as a backup boot drive

keep all of your music on it

keep all of your photos on it

mini is essentially a laptop without a screen, millions of people use their laptops as the only mac they own, and the whole drive speed seems to be a very small issue -- and they use it for everything...up to Final Cut Pro

I like the idea of a backup boot drive.

SuperDuper cloned drive. Use the external as your daily use (faster) but clone it to the internal regularly. (I have an iMac (which I clone to a miniStack) but I have a few friends who have the Mac mini & miniStack combo, and this is what they do.)
