This pursuit has been going for over 30 minutes

Wow, quite the game of telephone here. It was a "Follow-home" robbery, not a home robbery. There is no "third one."

I haven't seen anything reported that supports carjacking.

In CA, carjacking is taking a vehicle through force or fear, ie strongarm, gun, or threat.

The chase video commentary was that it was a follow home robbery resulting in a carjacking. As I noted, it was the initial report.

Yep, that's what they had mentioned.

I saw the video and heard the commentary.

I'm not saying it wasn't said.

I'm not throwing shade.

Initial reports are usually updated, almost always with more accurate and sometimes facts contrary to the initial reports.

I'm saying that carjacking has specific elements, and as yet, no report I've seen supports that, and one (repeated by other sources) seems to refute both 'robbery' and 'carjacking'.

These two crimes have specific elements that must be present to actually be the crimes stated.

There is a bit of a whole in the reporting — the 'we've managed to piece together' bit.

Maybe there was a robbery and a carjacking or two.

I just haven't see anything yet that supports carjacking vs GTA.
