Is there a name for this accent/dialect?

The subject is cool, but the presenter has a speaking style I like.
Its precise, but fast and somewhat clipped.

I am amazed at how fast younger people can talk. I just try to follow along as best I can. There's alot of video clipping going on in this YouTube link which makes her even faster sounding. I've always been a slow talker. Even in my 30's coworkers would try to hurry me along.

I have a problem with this too, following the speech of young people today, made worse for me with my declining hearing. Another thing I often notice with such fast speech is that it's not consistent, with rapid bursts interspersed with pauses, which I'm thankful for, since I'd have an even worse time keeping up if the speech was rapid-fire with no letup.

For me, some of the problem is my aging brain, whose clock speed is slowing down. I understand more speech if it's slower and not necessarily louder.

I learned A LOT about talking slow when Mom's brain became to addled to keep up with the pace of normal conversation. We learned that it wasn't hearing - it was a lack of processing power. We would intentionally try to slow down, but sometimes words just come out in rapid bursts like lost in space says.

It's SO HARD to maintain slow speech. IT got to the point where every now and then, I'd just tell mom - 'we need to talk fast for a bit - we'll be right back with ya' and we'd get some work done while mom spaced out for a bit.

I don't think there is an accent or dialect here, just a lot of fast talking.

My kids consume podcasts and youtube at 1.5-2x. I could understand that impacting speech patterns over time?

I need closed captioning just to watch BritBox so will await the next generation hearing aid with accompanying visual sub titles.

It almost seems sped up.

It's not a dialect.

I agree she's talking fast.

There's a lot of editing that adds to the clipped speech perception.

Parts almost seem sped up, but given her varying speaking speeds, I think it's her, not tech, except for the edits.

Wasn't there a time when time limits applied somehow?

Maybe she just wants to get more, in a certain time.

I'm long know a few people who tend to talk fast.

Deliberate fast talking is also a technique to not be interrupted, to dominate a conversation.

That wouldn't be the reason in this case, though it could be she's doing it to help hold the viewer's attention.

Anyway, this is a great video, evem though her speaking style makes me a bit anxious.
