dji has a new entry level drone – the Neo.

A tiny palm-sized drone:

135g
4K/30
2000m max altitude
17min flight time
Full specs
It's designed to be launched and landed from and on the palm of one's hand.
This is often done with larger, more advanced drones, but needs a bit of practice and care or the drone can be damaged.
But this makes the Neo very portable.
I'm just looking into it so am not up on all the intel.
But it uses an app for out of the box control, but can be paired with numerous dji discrete controllers.
There are other mini-drones much cheaper than the basic Neo, but most aren't in the same class.
It's in the <249g class so it doesn't need to be registered (yet) and the pilot doesn't need a license (unless used for profit) but still needs a TRUST certificate.
Still, it's small enough to easily fly under the radar if one is careful.
The pilot still needs to be aware of all applicable FAA rules and regs, such as No Fly zones, applying for flight authorization in certain areas, etc.
There's a whole lot more about this that some of you will be aware of, that I am not.
But this looks like a pretty cool gizmo to me.
