He became a college graduate a week ago: https://www.dawgnation.com/football/hers...ZZ4GXUMKA/

From that link:

More than four decades after the greatest football player in UGA history — and arguably the greatest college football player of all time — left school early to play professionally, he returned to finish what he started.

I had no idea he was this good.
Herschel being that good is the only reason people know who he is. I would rank him behind Jim Brown/Syracuse personally because he's an openly Black Republican.

It pains me to say this, but OJ was a better runner when it counted, and broke off long runs to win the national championship and to beat Ohio State in the Rose Bowl. On the other hand, Walker doesn't seem to have murdered anybody

OJ was by far the better runner and had a full successful NFL career. Had he played 4 years at USC instead of 2, he'd be the greatest college back.

Herschel was an awesome talent, at UGA.
He came the year after I graduated.
Vince Dooley’s playbook, give the ball to Herschel.

He was a touchdown machine. That '80 Championship I'm sure is still UGA's most cherished title.
