CBS Eyeing New Neighborhood Spinoff — Which Two Original Cast Members Will Star?
.....CBS is looking to turn another successful sitcom into a full-blown franchise.
The network is developing an offshoot of its long-running comedy The Neighborhood that would spin off Malcolm (Sheaun McKinney) and Marty (Marcel Spears). The mothership’s Season 7 finale will serve as a backdoor pilot and introduce three new characters who would join Calvin and Tina’s sons as they venture out on their own. Sources tell TVLine that the trio consists of a socially inept tech millionaire, a wannabe influencer and a content generator for a SoCal cannabis shop.
The as-yet-untitled spinoff, which is being eyed for the 2025-26 TV season, would see Malcolm and Marty “embark on new adventures, finally leaving their parents’ nest to start the next chapter of their lives, finding themselves the newcomers in a neighborhood that’s both close but yet world apart: Venice Beach,” according to the official logline.
Current Neighborhood showrunners Bill Martin and Mike Schiff will pen the script, and executive-produce alongside Cedric the Entertainer, Aaron Kaplan, Wendi Trilling and Eric C. Rhone......

Potential Equalizer Spinoff Casts Titus Welliver, Juani Feliz as ‘Mysterious’ Father-Daughter Duo
.....CBS‘ potential spinoff of The Equalizer is beginning to take shape: Titus Welliver (Bosch) and Juani Feliz (Harlem) have been cast in an upcoming episode of Queen Latifah’s hit procedural with the possibility of both returning if the backdoor pilot is picked up to series.
Welliver’s character, Hudson Reed, is connected to Latifah’s Robin McCall through an old mentor, but there’s more to the “former CIA operative with a dark secret” than meets the eye. Feliz will play his daughter Samantha, who was trained by Hudson in martial arts, weaponry and the ability to blend in like a chameleon — while apparently “hiding a mysterious past.”
Both characters are expected to be introduced in Episode 16 of The Equalizer‘s current fifth season.
Welliver currently stars as Harry Bosch on Bosch: Legacy, which returns to Prime Video for its third and final season this spring........
