Yeah, and it's totally pointless in Alaska. Daylight changes there are with the seasons - summer it's light, winter it's dark. And when I was a kid we had something like 6 time zones across the Territory from the SE all the way out the Chain to Russia.

I did have to get up early today for a short work shift, as my asst. mgr needed it off.
To prepare for this, I went to bed early, but dang it I could not fall asleep.
Then I just got mad and really couldn't sleep.
A perfect plan foiled.

Correct, we changed the clocks this morning here in Alaska. Daylight savings is meaningful for about two weeks on either side of the change with the rapid shifts in daylight up and down during the seasons.
