Anyone using AdGuard?

Got a really good offer for lifetime family plan. Leary about the lifetime part, but the price is seems good at under $40 for up to 9 devices. Wondering if anyone has any experience with it.

I've been using it on my iPhone and iPad. Haven't installed it on any computers (have AdBock installed in Chrome). Seems to work fine, although it's overly aggressive with "shopping" links which I find annoying. I.e. the suggested products from Google search results. You can "whitelist" the domains (they're intermediary domains so there's only a few major ones, you don't have to whitelist the vendors themselves) but the option is sort of hidden in the app (frankly I find the options in the app a little confusing).

Also, since it works via some sort of "local" VPN, some apps that don't like VPN's won't work while it's active (i.e. the Spectrum TV app).

I'm using it on my Brave browser on my mac and it works great, but I didn't even know there was a pay version.

If this is the deal on Stacksocial, use code FAMPLAN to bring it down to 15.97. Saw this last month and it still applies now.

I'm switching bad websites to "Always Show Reader View" as I get to them.

I use the free version for iPhone. It does what I need, though uBlock Origin on my mac is far superior IMHO.
