is that the 6 disk or the 12 disk set?

I pieced together my 12 disk set from half.com viewed once sets, and that $3 library case deal.

According to the description it is 12. ..

To top it all off, the extended editions offer four discs per film: two for the longer movie, plus four commentary tracks and stupendous DTS 6.1 ES sound; and two for the bonus material, which covers just about everything from script creation to special effects.

Is this the platinum version of the trilogy?

I also found that a High-definition trilogy set is coming soon. . .

Amazon has it listed as "Not Yet Released--Sign up to pre-order"

I saw a 6-disc extended set some time ago, and I thought that was around $60-$80.

How long has the 12-pack been out?
