Photoshop CS3 forces me to use Winders
#11
The software is pretty much the same under either platform, but there are OS-level things that carry over into the program. ColorSync, color pickers, font management, screenshot methods, Services, etc.

Do you know how to type a bullet in a Photoshop on Windows text field?

ALT + 0149 (Who wants to memorize 4 digit codes like that!)

On the Mac?

Option + 8 (which is the asterisk key- looks kinda like a bullet)

Even if the software is the same, there are many reasons to prefer a certain platform.

[quote Sam3]So Adobe's changed their upgrade policy? Because they never allowed croos-grades, or upgrades to a different platform.
Sorry, incorrect. Thanks for playing.

Adobe has allowed cross-grades for YEARS now. I've done it innumerable times for switcher clients, NEVER an issue.

Huh... our web guy at work tried to get his wife's Photoshop to Mac from Windows and he said that Adobe didn't allow that. Not for an upgrade price. He would have had to buy Photoshop for the Mac at full retail price, not the upgrade price.

I'll mention your response to him.
