reducing vibration from the washing machine
#11
When I did Heating and AC work many moons ago we used to put pads under each corner
of an air handler that went into an attic. The pads were made of 2 layers of rubber with
about a 3/4" thick piece of cork sandwiched in between the rubber. I don't know if they still
make them of not but it really helped cut down on vibrations.

Here they are:

grateful, thanks very much! cheaper than the sorbothane. sounds like maybe some 6" pads on each corner of the machine might work.

mr big- before you run off trying this and that soundproofing, conduct some basic tests with some household materials. This concept is TEMPORARY in nature, and cannot be used for long periods of time.

Build four little sandwiches of material like this:

Carpet square (Carpet face up)
Corrugated Cardboard
Corrugated Cardboard
Corrugated Cardboard
Carpet Square (Carpet Face down)

Tape it together with duct tape or packaging tape looped around two of the sides, NOT in the middle.

Shove these pads under your washer, one foot at a time.

Run it and see if that helps.

If it does, then vibration isolation will help. Replace with more robust material, and enjoy a bit more peace and quiet !

I would go with Grateful's suggestion - go to a HVAC supply house and buy some of the vibration dampers. They are rubber squares, look like waffles, and work great. You can either try to use one per foot, but might be better served by using a piece of 3/4" plywood with a number of these attached to the underside...
