Anyone know about composite toe safety shoes?
#1
I need new work shoes for around the house. These seem lighter than steel toe shoes. Will they provide protection from a spinning lawnmower blade or are they only for dropping something on your toe?

I am 99% sure they meet the same specs as the steel toed ones. They are lighter, and in the winter, your toes don't get anywhere near as frozen.

They don't conduct electricity though.

I wear these at work and home. They're steel toed, not composite, but very light weight and flexible. Been wearing them for years, most comfortable steel toed shoes I've ever had.

If they meet this spec they should offer about the same protecion.

ASTM F2413-05 I/75 C/75 impact and compression specifications

Some companies have steel and composite that do.
