Dog question: Why does he do this?
#11
I don't think it's a medical issue -- he always urinated outside when he was still fed commercial dog food. However, I will bring up the issue in his upcoming vet visit in August. Until then I will try to feed him outside and see what will happen.

Is he also getting more excited than usual?

I hope he doesn't have a weak bladder.

I can't pet my sister's dog's head when I walk in her door.
I have to totally ignore her until she's well calmed down or she "leaks'.

The dog's mother had a weak bladder problem, too.

They prescribe phenylpropanolamine (PPA or PPO) for some dogs with "leak" issues (usually females that have been spayed). One of ours is on it as there would be a slight wetness whenever she got up. The PPA has completely remedied the situation.

Home Cooking. Pork Chops, Squash, Green Beans, Mashed Potatoes and Peach Cobbler. That would make me pee.

Umm, I suppose she does not let anyone pet her either.
