I was sitting on a plane today, waiting for take-off. The pilot was walking through the plane and I heard him say to someone behind me "Is that one of the new iPhones?" The person said yes. The pilot said (joking) "I'm going to have to confiscate that for the remainder of the flight".

Good. At least he's not drinking whiskey the whole time.

Northworst didn't seem to have drunks flying the planes, but that was about the only thing they did right.
I was scheduled to fly out Monday at 9AM. I got home Saturday night around 11 to find a message from NW that they had canceled my 9AM flight. Instead, they'd put me on something that got me in 5 hours later and went through Minneapolis instead of Detroit. I called to get that changed, and was told that I could get a 6:29 AM flight direct to my destination, Green Bay. That sounded odd to me, but I was tired and thought, well maybe they added a direct flight since the last time I used NW. I questioned the NW rep about it, and she assured me that it was indeed a direct flight, on a smaller jet (50 passengers), the only direct flight they had. I didn't question it further, just jotted down the flight number (the number didn't seem quite right, but I didn't see what could go wrong, since she knew I was leaving from LaGuardia and going to Green Bay).
So I got up at 4AM, blew money on a cab because it was too early to try to take the airport bus, and got to LGA to discover that their only 6:29 flight was going to Memphis. Got into the "problem" line and gave the flight number to the agent, who said "You're going to Grand Rapids?"

Haven't tried Midwest. When I'm searching for flights, it has never (so far) had the best fare.
