what is the DEAL with non paying bidders???
#1
Yeesh! I seem to be getting A LOT of them lately. Is it so hard? If you bid on something, pay for it. If you don't want it, DON'T bid on it!

There should be a certified auction option. That is, people can only bid up to what they have in their paypal account (perhaps a sub-account allocated for certified auctions).

And once the auction ends, the money is automatically transferred to seller's account.

Kind of an automatic escrow.

What we do with higher priced items is a Buy It Now with Immediate Payment, they have to
pay before they buy it. Non paying bidders seem to come in spurts for us. We've only had
one in the last month, about a month ago we had about 6 buyers on our Dispute Console
as non paying bidders. Be sure to add them to your Blocked Bidder List and backup your
list eBay wiped everyone's list out once.

Yes. I had to get unblocked once. The seller blocked me even though I'd purchased two items from him already (including one for over $1000). Is it my fault he makes bidders fax him the credit card info and his fax was flakely and I'd e-mail him to ask if he'd received it but never heard back? Even though both times he eventually got the payment info that I tried to send promptly, he decided to block me.
