I may go get my tree tomorrow and was wondering what type others were going to get? I'm probably going to go with a scotch pine this year-we have heavy ornaments, so the douglas fir is out.
What type of REAL Christmas Tree are you getting?

We've already reserved our Douglas Fir. Will go in a couple of weeks and bring it home. Can't wait.

blue spruce - always a blue spruce

Blue Spruce is the nicest color, a Balsam Fir is the most "Christmassy" of the trees, IMO and Scotch Pine has the best "touch" factor, with it's long, soft needles.

Blue Spruce's are nice, but if I recall, they're a bit tricky to get here(State tree).
Probably a Fir or something My family goes to an area that's designated by the forrest service and picks a tree.

I just pick out a cheap one that isn't too big for my house.
I used to go out with one of my ex girlfriends to chop our trees down at a farm near here-not really a farm, mostly a mountainside with a lot of pines and firs and the like- and when she got hers in her house she was almost in tears because she didn't think it smelled nice. It's hell to be picky.

Fraser Fir Abies fraseri.
If it isn't an FF, you are just mocking Christ, and he will strike you down with an electrical fire in your tree that is fueled by the turpentine in the sap that leaks, causing a vaporous explosion and fire that is only equaled by a Fuel-Air Explosive. ![]() ![]() Note--- decorating any tree like the one below will also begat the wrath of Christ. ![]() btw... Balsam Fir very close to it, though some Balsams grow super high without the skirt/triangle we prefer for optimal xmas tree. That's when they are giant though. People do mistake them for each other because of the needles. Frasers don't shed needles at all unless they are practically DEAD - another thing I like about them, and they smell fantastic. I might make a big deal of it this year-despite the little artificial I have - primarily because Donna is Jewish. :-O No Chanukah bushes in here, baby!!! It's Jesus' way or the highway! Of course, Jesus is saying... "But I'm a Jew! And I wasn't born in December! And I'm from North Africa! What is it with you people who think I have blonde hair and blue eyes!?! Sniffing the sap of those trees, are ya?!?"

Is it too early for a tree, or will it live?
11-23-2007, 03:11 PM
It will live eternally within your heart, and in six days or 6000 years, come back, and bring with it the end of the world - which is really bad for a tree you loved --- but after all, you did cut it down.

Real vs imaginary ?
I like the imaginary one. Too much work, though. |
