My brother told me that some CC companies automatically include rental car insurance if their CC cards are used for a car reservation.

As for Enterprise, I had horrible experience with the company in trying to get it to pay for the damage done to my car by one of its customers.

UPDATE:
Got a PT Cruiser (21 MPG) for $174 including tax for 5 days with AAA discount at Budget Rent-A-Car.

Should we pay for the full insurance coverage of $15 per day or liability only for $12 per day? My S/O's 11 year old RAV4 has full coverage; my 20 year old Honda Accord has liability only.

Are you sure the $12 is not for collision? Normally more expensive than Liability. Either way for just $3 I would take both. Collision like I said is the one I take.

PT cruiser? With small engine you sure won't be getting speeding tickets. Some hills particularly if you go 5 and Grapevine back might be frustrating. Have it in for Chrysler products except for Dodge Ram trucks.

Spearmint,

Because S/O's car insurance already has a full coverage, Budget people recommend us to purchase the $15 coverage, which only covers their vehicle; no other car/s nor driver/s nor passenger/s.

S/O is talking to her own car insurance right now to find out if it extends to rental car, its driver and passenger.
