MDD867:/Volumes G4$ ls
400gig MUSIC Video eva 120 eva 160

That is weird. I only have 4 drives in my machine. The 400G drive IS the Video drive.
Why is terminal listing it twice?

I used the same steps on the "400gig' drive and then restarted. 400gig mounted with all the files from 'video'.

Do you have a clue what happened?

ztirffritz - I did get the above message before my restart.

That was real interesting. Thanks for all the help and I will book mark this thread for future reference.

It looks like you may have created two mount points in the '/Volumes' directory for one drive. They are just empty directories until you mount something to them. Try doing this just for educational purposes:

MDD867:/Volumes G4$ ls
400gig MUSIC Video eva 120 eva 160
MDD867:/Volumes G4$ cd 400gig
MDD867:/Volumes/400gig G4$ ls
I DON'T KNOW WHAT IS ON THE DRIVE BUT THE CONTENTS WILL SHOW UP HERE
MDD867:/Volumes/400gig G4$ CD /Volumes/Video
MDD867:/Volumes/Video G4$ ls
Again, I don't know the contents, but I'm guessing that it will be the same as what is in '400gig'
