What would make a Bonjour printer not be available as a Bonjour printer?
#1
Bonjour seems to be working fine on both Macs here at the office and I can see lots of Bonjour printers available to "Add". Just not the one 2 feet from my desk.

I can add it as an LPD printer and it prints just fine. It's an HP 2015dn and I have all the HP software installed for it.

Clicking the Utility button in Printer Setup Utility's Printer List, I can go through all the printer's settings and see that it should be advertising itself as a Bonjour printer.

'Got a router in the mix?

What model?

Sometimes they don't pass certain protocols.

Not sure if this makes a difference or not - is the printer hooked up to the network, or directly to the computer via USB?

These are all networked, not USB.

A few months ago, when our department was a mix of Panther and Tiger, all of the Tiger machines could see it and about half of the Panther machines could. At the time I chalked it up Tiger maybe being a bit more robust about Bonjour.

But we're on different nodes or subnets in my group so maybe a (mis)managed router is in the mix.

So that's my problem. It has the double-secret antidote software installed.
