Has anyone ever used one of these? Is it a good value?

Looks intriguing.

However, it's a bit frightening, don't you think, to assume that your pictures transferred--and then put your card back in your camera and format it for the next round?

I'd buy a few more cards for the money, and when I'm on vacation and have the need I'd seek out a drugstore that can put them onto CD for me.

Good point, Elmo. It is just that I had never heard of this kind of thing before...

I bought one some years ago and used it like that, but wound up selling it and just buying a couple of extra cards. Easier to transport, no battery worries for the device, etc.

I always thought the SmartDisk FlashTrax was a good idea, even if it was more expensive than that Wolverine thing. At least it has a color screen...

Didn't realize they had a new model:

Hmmm...sounds like the old Minds@Work MindStore/Digital Wallets of some years back (I still have a couple) - worked well enough when CF prices were high but with memory prices the way they are these days an extra couple of cards is probably the way to go.
