Nice price. I noticed he has NEW iMacs at pretty good pricing. Are these "Grey Market"? I mean, does Apple know your the original buyer and gives you 1 year warranty?

I haven't checked whether I get the year of apple care- it didn't bother me too much anyway, as I knew I was going to open it up anyway, which I believe invalidates the warranty. I will probably check though.
cheers

Please check for me. If I get a 20" iMac I kind of want AppleCare.

Spacescape- I will check on the Applecare for you- probably not today (hopefully I will not have time to mess with my computer tonight!), but I will get back to you in the next couple of days.
cheers

As a F/U I received my mini (2.0 C2D) from eBay on Friday. New in sealed Apple box and cheaper than a refurb, slow shipping.
Memory upgrade arrived yesterday - now I just need to install it.

installing RAM does not void the warranty. if you damage anything while installing it, that's not covered by the warranty.

I checked- a full year of warranty! Fantastic!
The reason that I thought that opening the mac mini to put RAM in would invalidate the warranty is that the instruction manual clearly states "no user serviceable parts" and "do not open your computer" or words to that effect- so a different situation to most Macs, where RAM is easily user-accessible.
