Shot this at Lock and Dam 14 on the Mississippi. I don't have a real big lens for the Rebel yet, this was shot at 200mm I think.

The lock and dams are usually pretty good areas for spotting eagles in the upper midwest. This winter has been warmer than normal, so I haven't had much luck until this weekend. There were 4 other guys out there with their big ass camera rigs. :Confusedigh::

Did you already crop it? If you shot RAW, you can amp up the res without significant loss and get a nice "digital" close-up. There looks to be plenty of information in the picture.

A 200mm lens (is yours a 70-200mm?) on a Rebel actually works out to be a 320mm after the full frame's factored in (1.6x)… if your lens will take an extender, pop a 1.5x on there and you've got what amounts to just less than a 500mm lens.

You'll need a tripod for stability.
