Functional but affordable X version of Illustrator or Photshop?
#1
I've been chugging along with Illustrator 8 and Photoshop 5 (have to use in classic on my 'final' MDD).
Probably time for me to spend a little $$ and get a working X version.
What am I looking for? Probably looing at used/eBay.
Thx.

I have PS7 working with 10.4.1 with no problems. I don't have AI on my laptop and I'm on the road so I can't check the Sawtooth.

Hope I helped a little!

Photoshop 7 and Illustrator 10 are the first OS X versions. They work great in any flavor of X.

Would Photoshop Elements be sufficient for your needs? It's affordable.

Thanks.
I barely know how to do stuff in these apps-- not sure I want to learn a new one, but--
does Gimp save to .pdf?

i was going to suggest GIMP for its freeness...

Pixelmator is also a good choice but it will cost you some $$$
I got it though MacHeist and I think its was a good value for the $$$

i have not used it but Acorn is another suggestion/alternative
