Perhaps if spending is cut a little thing know as efficiency may come into play. I'm just guessing here but I'd think we could easily defend our country and still provide more than adequate R&D on just the amount of money that is wasted and or "lost".

The Pentagon is in negotiations with Steve Jobs over some top-secret Dept. of Defense project, code-named "iNuke."

According to sources close to the project, it'll cost considerably more up front, but it'll be more stable and reliable, have better support and help features, easier training, more secure updates, a more elegant interface, longer shelf life, and excellent resale value.

...and the Pentagon will HAVE to buy fuel directly from Apple or lose the warranty. The aftermarket AppleCare Package cost will be pegged to the annual Wyoming state budget.
