Slightly better for Stargate fans than Peacekeeper Wars was for Farscape fans.

Kinda slightly. But the margin is definitely there.

I rented it in HD when it first came out - it was a good episode but not one I'd watch again. I just bought Stargate Contiuum on DVD - it got better reviews than Ark of Truth. Hopefully Stargate Universe becomes a reality.

I still cannot bring myself to watch SG as it was the show that supplanted Farscape on SciFi.

Or are you just thinking that that's where Ben went after the Farscape gig stopped ?

Nope. Farscape was canceled. And Stargate was put in its place and given high priority. Lexx was on after Farscape.

The plot was decent and I guess I liked it well enough, but it didn't really have the feeling of a feature length movie to me; it was like any other episode. Some of the set design looked a little low-budget, and there was a scene where Teal'c was trekking about that struck me as being a little cheesy. I'm hoping for a slight improvement with Continuum.
