http://www.biloxi.ms.us/gallery/90208/ Seems the Hard Rock casino took 2' of water on the lower lobby and wont be open for another week. The rivers you see are streets and Hwy 90. And you can tell that we've not rebuilt much on the beach since Katrina.. Have not gotten much else reported in for the Biloxi area.

With the re-opening of U.S. 90 in BIloxi this morning, all of the city's casino resorts are expected to be re-opened by mid-afternoon, according to Rich Randall of the Mississippi Gaming Commission, who said commission agents and auditors have been at Biloxi casinos since 7 this morning going through re-opening procedures.
Casinos must pass inspections by the Mississippi Gaming Commission and the city before being permitted to re-open. At 10:30 a.m., Randall reported that the Beau Rivage Resort & Casino had re-opened, and others “should be following shortly, and all of them should be open by mid-afternoon,” barring any last-minute snags. The status as of 11 a.m:, according to a check of casino resorts: Beau Rivage Resort & Casino: entire facility open. Boomtown Casino: Awaiting gaming commission final approval. Grand Biloxi: Awaiting fire department inspection. Hotels, restaurants also ready to re-open. Hard Rock Hotel and Casino: Awaiting fire department inspection. Plan to re-open entire facility at 3 p.m. IP Casino Resort Spa: Hotel, restaurants, spa open; awaiting final approval from gaming commission for casino to re-open. Isle of Capri Casino Resort: Awaiting completion of fire department inspection of casino. Hotel and restaurants open, taking reservations. Palace Casino Resort: Awaiting gaming commission approval. Treasure Bay Casino Resort: Awaiting fire department inspection. |
