Any forum members around Maryland having connection issues?
#1
My VoIP provider is based in Maryland and their service seems to have disappeared. Their website isn't responding, pings fail, phones don't work. Either they went belly-up without warning, but did it very cleanly and shut everything down before fleeing, or there is a network issue. The Internet Health Report shows that there is a major failure between Cogent and Sprint networks. I don't know if that is related though.

Lots of different ways. Home service may be down, but Cell/mobile service might work. Different carriers. Maybe their service at home is working, but not at work. Who knows.

Don't make me set you on fire!

All is well in (24401) Staunton. VA.

I traced their IP address and it looks like it is in a Co-Lo in Seattle, so the problem maybe a little closer to home.

Apparently Sprint and Cogent are having a pissing match. They are de-peering. ie. I'll no longer carry your traffic on my network. So much for net-neutrality...

I am not in MD but I tried to call Verizon DSL tech support last night and heard a message informing of outage in that state.
